Videonomics

This event has already happened

New York – November 21, 2013

1:30 pm - 7:00 pm @ The TimesCenter

"My POV is that online video is clearly relevant, but it will never come close to the scale of TV in its current incarnation. What will happen long before that is that TV itself will become digital making the online/offline debate a moot point."

Adam Kleinberg, Traction
NYC-cohen

Videonomics is a series of marketing summits, of which David Cohen, UM; Maureen Bosetti, ZenithOptimedia; and a number of other media leaders serve on the board.  The NYC Roundtable will bring together 40+ top brand marketers and agency execs in a meaningful way with 20 media executives, to try and break down some of the institutional barriers that exist in video advertising today.

November’s Roundtable is all about working sessions. There will be no presentations. It is just a roomful of organized executives working on creating a stronger marketplace. We are excited to be taking on three topics as a group:

  1. Bringing automation to TV & digital
  2. Setting viewability standards
  3. Making the New Fronts better for the marketplace

Board member Kris Magel, Initiative said it best, “The Videonomics topic is pretty interesting.  It’s been an inflammatory issue to date, but TV and Digital executives have got to get together.  The truth is that TV events have a few digital marketers and Digital events have a few TV people but there is no one place where this conversation is happening.”
